Developed as a guard dog in Germany in the 19th century, this intelligent and energetic dog is great for sports such as the Schutzhund and agility. Despite their bad reputation, Doberman Pinschers have an affectionate nature and make good family pets. Although they are large dogs, they do surprisingly well in apartments, providing they are exercised daily and they are well trained. They also tolerate heat well, and will be very happy in Dubai's hot climate.
